This policy covers the Iraq Motors website, mobile applications, and related APIs. By creating an account, listing a vehicle, contacting a seller, submitting a help request, or otherwise using our services, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Iraq Motors:

• Account details: phone number, email address, display name, city, account type (individual or showroom), showroom name, owner name, and profile photo. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication.
• Listings: vehicle details, photos, price, location, and other information you submit when you sell a car. Public listing details may be visible to other users.
• Messages and bids: in-app messages, bid amounts, and related contact details you share with other users.
• Help and lead requests: name, email, WhatsApp number, and the reason you contacted us.
• Payments: if you buy a listing boost, we record order status and references. Card details are processed by N-Genius; we do not store full card numbers.
• Device and usage: pages and screens you view, general device information, and approximate location derived from IP. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization. The mobile app may receive push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Security: Cloudflare Turnstile (website) or Firebase App Check (app) to reduce automated abuse.
• Preferences stored on your device: language, theme, and whether you dismissed the help widget.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the marketplace, including listings, search, comparison, messages, and your account.
• Verify accounts, prevent fraud and spam, and keep the platform secure.
• Process listing payments and send related receipts or status updates.
• Respond to support requests and follow up on help-widget submissions.
• Send optional alerts you choose (such as price or new-match alerts) and, on the app, push notifications.
• Understand how the service is used so we can improve it (analytics).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• Other users: public listing information (such as vehicle details, photos, city, and seller display name). Phone numbers are shared when you choose to be contacted, or when a buyer uses in-app contact features.
• Service providers: Firebase (authentication, notifications, and related Google services), Cloudflare (hosting, image storage, and bot protection), Google Analytics, and N-Genius (payments).
• Legal and safety: if required by law, or to protect users, our rights, or the integrity of the marketplace.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses essential storage for sign-in, language, and theme. Google Analytics may set cookies to measure traffic, with IP anonymization enabled. You can block analytics cookies in your browser; the site will still work. The mobile app uses similar on-device storage for preferences and authentication.

Retention

We keep account, listing, message, payment, and support records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete your account; some records may be retained where we have a legitimate need (for example, completed payments or abuse prevention).

Your choices

You can update your profile and notification preferences in account settings. You can sign out at any time. To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, contact us using the help widget on this website. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.

Children

Iraq Motors is not directed at children. You must be old enough under applicable law to enter a contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International processing

Our providers (including Google/Firebase, Cloudflare, and N-Genius) may process data on servers outside Iraq. By using Iraq Motors you understand that your information may be transferred to and stored in those locations, with safeguards those providers apply.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Iraq Motors after an update means you accept the revised policy.
